The M6, M42, M54 and M5 service the city from all directions, with many of the junctions just a few minutes from the city centre. There are over 23,500 well signed parking spaces in the city centre alone – so parking isn’t a big issue when you arrive. 

Birmingham beat most other core UK cities in research done by Virgin money on city transport. Birmingham was listed the 43rd most car friendly city in the UK – the only core city to come higher was Newcastle. The research was based on petrol prices, the cost of parking for two hours and the number of speed cameras on main roads into the town or city. The research also took into consideration the number of car parks and the level of car crime.
