MIPIM 2012
Business Birmingham showcases city's regeneration renaissance at MIPIM

Business Birmingham and the city’s business community joined forces once more to promote Birmingham’s investment opportunities to 18,600 delegates from 90 countries at MIPIM 2012.
Birmingham hosted an extensive events programme during each day of MIPIM, the world’s leading real estate event (Cannes, March 6-9) – highlighting world-class strengths in areas including connectivity and infrastructure, and outlining investment opportunities resulting from initiatives such as the Big City Plan and HS2.
Some 18 partners from the private and public sectors across the city worked together to showcase Birmingham’s collaborative environment, supportive business networks and the economic conditions that help to support business growth and entrepreneurship.
Mike Whitby, Leader of Birmingham City Council, commented:
MIPIM remains a highly competitive environment, but Birmingham demonstrated itself as a major player through its robust programme of events, enviable range of partners and speakers, and impressive scope of current and future developments – all of which attracted the attention of keen investors focused on significant new opportunities.”
The partners that supported Birmingham’s MIPIM presence included: Argent, Carillion, Keepmoat, Nikal, Bruntwood, Centro, Glenn Howells Architects, Jaguar Land Rover, Rider Levett Bucknall, Willmott Dixon, GVA, Drivers Jonas Deloitte, Birmingham Airport and Brindleyplace.
