• Birmingham Food Fest, from 14 - 23 October 2011 Birmingham welcomes 'Birmingham Food Fest', a new food festival celebrating the diversity of the city's food scene.
• Style Birmingham, an innovative fashion extravaganza with a series of catwalk shows and in-store shopping and beauty events across the city centre.
• Clothes show, the fashion and beauty event of the year with hundreds of exhibiters, celebrities, catwalks and a fashion theatre descending on the NEC.
• Frankfurt Christmas Market, the world’s largest authentic German market outside Germany or Austria.
• Artsfest, the UK’s biggest free arts festival held yearly in the city centre showing over 600 performing, digital and visual artists.
• Flatpack festival, celebrating the wild frontier of film culture, presenting work in an eclectic array of unexpected spaces and places.
• International Dance Festival Birmingham, celebrating dance from across the globe through a series of specially choreographed commissions, distinctive performances in unusual spaces, large-scale events for mass public participation and much more.
• Moseley Folk Festival, now in its 5th year featuring some of the biggest names on the folk and alternative scene in Birmingham’s beloved Moseley village.
• Birmingham Book Festival, welcoming novelists, speakers, poets, journalists, storytellers, dramatists and others from around the UK to participate in a rich and diverse programme of events, workshops, seminars, debates and discussions.
• The British Science Festival, a six-day event attracting visitors of all ages, with an ever-expanding array of lectures, debates and science-related demonstrations
