Shared Service Centres | Birmingham

The Midlands Shared Service Forum is going from strength to strength and increasingly an event in which professionals and businesses from across the Midlands and wider, meet to best practice, discuss ideas and tap into the sectors key issues. The forums attract an audience from many sectors including manufacturing, FMCG, Services, Financial and Professional Services and the public sector. 

The focus of the events is to provide a relaxed atmosphere in which professionals from the shared services community are able to share their own experiences, and engage with peers from a wide range of professional disciplines on topics that many of them share. The forums take place on a quarterly basis and have attracted business and individuals from across the region and farther afield. 

Septembers Forum was attended by some 30 organisations who attended a presentation from McDonalds, talking about their experience of establishing a UK centre of excellence. 

Co-ordinated by Robert Walters, and supported by the Inward Investment organisation Business Birmingham the most recent SSF took place in February, held at a Deloittes offices in Brindleyplace and saw a presentation by Rentokil Initial followed by a roundtable discussion and Q&A. 

Attendees included Specsavers, Adecco, Veolia, Deutsche Bank, Britvic amongst others.
