Legislation:
Companies House is the United Kingdom Registrar of Companies. All forms of companies (as permitted by the United Kingdom Companies Act) are incorporated and registered with Companies House and file specific details as required by the current Companies Act 2006.
The main functions of Companies House are to:

- examine and store company information delivered under the Companies Act and related legislation
- make this information available to the public.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is the Government organisation that helps businesses invest and locate in the UK and grow internationally.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is the regulator of the financial services industry in the UK.
Any firm or individual that carries out a regulated financial service market activity in the UK must be authorised by the FSA, unless they are exempt.
Once a firm is authorised, the FSA requires them to meet the standards set out in their Handbook of Rules and Guidance found on the website and to supply them with information so that they can monitor their business.
Tax:
HMRC is a non-ministerial department of the British Government primarily responsible for the collection of taxes and the payment of some forms of state support.
HMRC exists to ensure the correct tax is paid at the right time, whether this relates to payment of taxes received by the department or entitlement to benefits paid.
