Multilingual

Birmingham is a city of many languages; the European Cities Monitor 2010, by Cushman & Wakefield, gave evidence of this as the city went up in the rankings from 14 to 11 as the best city in terms of languages spoken, the best score of all English core cities. 

Almost 12,000 international students, drawn from many countries worldwide choose to study in Birmingham. Representing over 15% of the student population these students enhance the learning experience for local students by adding to the international and cultural diversity.
