Peddimore is a greenfield site, occupying a strategic and highly accessible location on the north-eastern edge of Birmingham. It will deliver 71ha of developable employment land alongside the A38, where there will be a new strategic access point. Close to Junction 9 of the M6, the M1, M5, M40, M42 and M69 can all be reached in less than 30 minutes.
The Peddimore site forms part of the main industrial corridor in the city, extending eastwards along Heartlands Parkway to the Midpoint Park industrial development. This key corridor is home to some the city’s major industrial occupiers including Jaguar Land Rover’s assembly plant at Castle Bromwich, GKN and Webasto.
Peddimore is identified as a key employment allocation in the Birmingham Development Plan, helping to address the need for land to accommodate major national and international investment in the industrial and logistics sectors. Adjacent to Peddimore, land at Langley Sustainable Urban Extension will provide 6,000 homes in a new sustainable neighbourhood development with schools, open space and local shopping and community facilities.
