Aston Uni teaching shortlisted in national HE awards
Aston University nominated for Teaching and Learning Strategy of the Year in the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards.
Aston University has been shortlisted for Teaching and Learning Strategy of the Year in a national awards by Times Higher Education.
The award recognises a teaching and learning strategy that is ‘distinctive and innovative, has enhanced both the student and staff experience, and reflects an institution’s core values’, according to the judging criteria.
The THE Leadership and Management Awards, known as the Thelmas, have for 10 years recognised the work of teams who have guided their university through challenging terrain and laid the foundations for future success. Universities are nominated for examples of innovation, teamwork and enterprise that stands out from the crowd.
Last year Aston was one of a handful of universities to be given a gold ranking in the government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). It found that Aston students from all backgrounds achieve ‘consistently outstanding outcomes’, with very high proportions of students going into highly skilled employment or further study.
The gala ceremony will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London on Thursday 21 June.
