Speakers

Jason Stockwood, Group CEO, Simply Business

Responsible for developing Simply Business, Jason sets the challenge for defying the insurance company stereotype. From technology and data science to customer experience and people engagement, Jason’s leading the mission to create something better.

Headlines predict that whole industries will be decimated by Artificial Intelligence and automation. Some bosses and bankers are rubbing their hands at the prospect of cost savings and staff cuts.

But there is another way. New technology can also empower teams, fuel creativity and make people happier.

At Simply Business, twice voted the UK’s best company to work for, big data and automated systems are being harnessed to generate positive growth, their Northampton office is trialling a 4 day week. In this bold blueprint, group CEO Jason Stockwood – named by the Sunday Timesas the UK’s best leader – shows how any organisation can think freshly and benefit from technology by putting its people first.

Be one of the first to purchase a copy of Jason’s newly published book : ‘Reboot: a Blueprint for Happy, Human Business in the Digital Age’ during the break.

Jack Thompson, Head of Investor Relations, Angels Den

Angels Den is an online investment platform that makes it simple to own shares in early-stage companies that could potentially become the next big thing. What makes it different is that it ensures a lead investor is on board before funding is open to their wider network of investors. The lead conducts due diligence, invests their own money and often provides mentorship and connections to help the business grow. This has proven to be highly successful with over 90% of our funded deals still in business. Presentation to include:

– What investment is out there?

– Is angel funding for you?

– How to value your business

– What equity to give away
