Birmingham is a city with ambition, drive, energy and ideas and it is now one of the most attractive cities in Europe to do business. With 40% of its population under the age of 25, making it the youngest city in Europe, we have an opportunity to unlock potential and develop our talent pool.
To do this we need to invest in our most precious and biggest asset – our young people because they are the key ingredient to our city’s long term successful future. We want to invite you to work with us to provide pathways into jobs that will lead to long term sustainable careers in the Digital Sector.
So how can we work together?
Amazon Web Services, Barclays Connect with Work, Birmingham City Council and The Prince’s Trust have teamed up to launch AWS re: Start in Birmingham: an IT training and job placement programme, which aims to educate disadvantaged young people on the latest software development and cloud computing technologies and crucially launch their careers in the digital world.
Have digital jobs to offer young people? Join us for an opportunity to:
LEARN from all the delivery partners about the importance of this initiative in helping young people achieve their potential whilst also tackling the digital skills gap in Birmingham
SEE how your company can get involved to fill your digital skills needs whilst also providing a young person with potentially life-changing opportunity
DISCOVER how companies are already benefitting from this program with an injection of fresh talent and new ideas into their business helping them to adapt and connect with the ever changing world
BE INSPIRED by the stories of the some of the young people who have been through the program and hear their success stories
If you have digital opportunities available and would be interested in accessing bright new talent, please register your details.
