Creative Conversations with Rosie Millard OBE

Date 01 Feb 2019

Time 12:00-14:00

Event type Conversation

Location Birmingham Hippodrome, Hurst Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B5 4TB

A lively and creative lunchtime speaker event chaired by Rosie Millard OBE exploring the implications on host cities of delivering major national community and sporting events.

Rosie will be talking to Martin Green CBE (Commonwealth Games 2022, Hull City of Culture 2017, London 2012) and to Martin Sutherland (Coventry City of Culture 2021).

Over a light lunch they will be tackling challenging questions such as, how does big central investment balance with local arts cuts and competition for fundraising? And what happens once the party’s over? How can planners ensure lasting and continued impact, especially with new audiences often engaging for the first time?

Add your own questions and perspectives to the debate as the region gears up for both Coventry City of Culture and the Commonwealth Games.

It’s a great chance to network with faces from across the city representing all sectors – culture, education, local government and business. Join us for the next in our series of thought-provoking lunchtime conversations.

Tickets are £25pp including welcome drink and light two-course seated lunch with wine.

Book now, places are limited!
