CONNECTING INVESTORS, INNOVATORS AND ENTREPRENEURS IN THE WEST MIDLANDS
Venturefest West Midlands will be held at Birmingham NEC on Tuesday 27th June 2017. It will provide entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to meet, engage and exchange ideas for co-operation and collaboration, particularly in the fields of science and emerging technologies.
With around 700 delegates expected to attend this one day event attendees will be able to engage directly with high growth entrepreneurs and service providers offering products, services, advice and support.
Venturefest West Midlands expects to welcome 700 delegates in 2017 and is sponsored by Innovate UK as part of a national network of Venturefests supported by Innovate UK and is being supported locally by business, universities, science parks and business support organisations.
Running alongside Venturefest West Midlands is Pitchfest, a pitching competition for business owners, which presents a unique opportunity for businesses to raise their profile both in the West Midlands and in front of a national audience of investors. Business owners are invited to present their ideas in a pitch for investment and stand a chance of winning one of several awards.
Pitchfest is a unique pitching competition - an opportunity for entrepreneurs with start-up, early stage and growth businesses to increase their profile in front of a national audience of investors. It is jointly organised by Aston University, the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick, in association with Venturefest West Midlands. There are a series of workshops and pitching panels during March, April and May to help businesses develop their pitch before the Pitchfest final which takes place on Tuesday 27th June 2017.

All small business taking part will receive support to develop their funding pitch through a series of workshops run by each of the Universities.
