Gemini people: celebrating expansion with new office opening
London based Creative and Digital recruitment specialists Gemini People have opened their second office in Birmingham.
Listed consistently in the Sunday Times top 100 Best Small Companies to work for (2015 and 2016) award-winning recruitment agency Gemini People, who operate in the creative, digital, industry and freelance space have opened their second UK office in the city of Birmingham in March 2017 allowing them to expand their services into the important Midlands area.
The new office expansion will give Gemini People the opportunity to further develop their offering in the creative and digital markets, as well as increase their ability to service their regional clients.
The new office will be headed up by Claire Summerfield, former Managing Director of Blue Skies. Claire has over 13 years’ experience in the recruitment industry and is a key addition to the Gemini People board.
Claire Summerfield, Director, commented,
“I’m delighted to join the team at Gemini People and to expand their offering into the Midlands. The exceptional talent in the regions creative markets combined with the business investment into the area have created a thriving sector and I’m excited to be bringing Gemini People to Birmingham. With honesty and partnerships at the heart of the business I’m confident we’ll be bringing a market leading offering into the area.”
Birmingham, the UK’s second largest city, has the most vibrant start-up community outside of London, with more than 17,000 businesses born in 2016. It is a natural next step for the development of the Gemini People brand. Currently benefiting from a £1 billion HS2 fuelled investment the opportunities in the region are attracting many new players into the local economy. The arrival of the new HSBC UK head office in 2018 is supporting that growth with 2,500 employees planned to be based in the Birmingham purpose built head office. Gemini People’s arrival will herald an import step for the business as they seek to develop markets complimentary to the London offering.
Michelle Watson, CEO, said:
“This was the next logical step in the Gemini People journey. We’re very excited to have Claire on board and we are looking forward to expanding our reach and creating powerhouse partnerships with candidates and clients in Birmingham. We’re confident that we will be able to continue to offer a market defining service.
“The feedback from our candidates and clients has already been incredibly positive and we have been assured of a warm welcome. This is another important landmark in the Gemini People journey and our future continues to feel extremely exciting.”
