GVA destination marketing manager scoops top regional awards

Rebecca Halbert, from GVA’s Destination Marketing team, has been recognised with a duo of accolades at the annual Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Future Faces event.

Alongside collecting the top award in the Sales, Marketing and Communications category, Rebecca also beat stiff competition to be named the overall Future Face for 2018 – becoming the first winner from the property sector and the marketing profession.  Her commitment to charity, rapid career progression and professional successes contributed to her win.

Open to under-35s, the Future Faces awards recognise the successes and contributions of young professionals across the region, from apprentices to entrepreneurs.

As the overall winner, Rebecca receives a place on Common Purpose’s streetwise MBA programme, which identifies future leaders of the business community.

Rebecca said:

“Being named top of my category and then overall winner was hugely unexpected, but represents both a great privilege and a substantial opportunity for me to make a positive impact.

“It’s great to be part of an organisation that supports young talent, and GVA has been incredibly supportive throughout this process. I’m looking forward to leveraging the opportunity that these awards have offered to make a positive impact on other young people in the business community, both at GVA and across the wider city.”

As marketing manager in the Destination Marketing team – a part of the wider Property Management Consultancy business unit – Rebecca is responsible for delivering bespoke marketing solutions for a range of schemes, including Birmingham’s landmark Brindleyplace estate, Swinton Square Shopping Centre, and Chesterfield Waterside.

Rebecca is also a trustee for the Buddy Bag Foundation, a charity that supports children who enter emergency care after fleeing violent situations at home.
