[email protected] On Tour finds three exceptional entrepreneurs in Birmingham

  • Winners include Birmingham travel company, Limitless Travel, which helps people with disabilities enjoy travelling
  • The chosen three will go on to a boot camp at Nottingham University in March, in the hope of making it to the final event at St James’s Palace

On Tuesday, [email protected] on Tour took place for the first time in Birmingham, hosted at KPMG’s One Snowhill offices.

The Dragon’s Den-style initiative brought together some of the region’s creative entrepreneurs, from fields such as healthcare, robotics, connected devices, wearable technology and virtual reality.

Set up by HRH Prince Andrew, [email protected] is an initiative which guides, helps and connects entrepreneurs with potential investors and supporters, in order to grow and develop their businesses.

16 entrepreneurs showcased their ideas to Prince Andrew and a panel of experts this week, in a bid to score at place at boot camp in Nottingham in March, before the main [email protected] event at St James’s Palace in April.

Three of the 16 companies were chosen as winners, they were: NuVision Biotherapies, an organisation borne from the University of Nottingham which specialises in ‘high quality and affordable biotherapies for treating front of the eye disease and trauma’, Limitless Travel, a local Birmingham company which organises accessible holidays for travellers with disabilities, and Desolenator a business which has produced a new, affordable and environmentally friendly method of water purification, based in London.

KPMG in the UK is a sponsor and founding member of the initiative, alongside Prince Andrew.
