Coventry University has four faculties:

  • Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  • Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing
  • Faculty of Health and Life Sciences
  • Faculty of Business and Law comprising of the Coventry Business School and Coventry Law School.

In the Government’s new Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), which measures factors including teaching quality, graduate employability and student satisfaction over research capabilities, Coventry was awarded Gold (2017).

Coventry’s campus sits right in the heart of the city centre, which means the University is well connected via public transport to local areas and provides fantastic transport links to further afield.

Intelligent products & processes – Harnessing the latest science and technology to pioneer new and more intelligent ways of doing things is a cornerstone of the university’s research.

Health & wellbeing Coventry is working to achieve a healthy and happy population, which benefits all facets of society – from early years education to social justice policy.

Creative cultures – Coventry’s world-leading expertise in vehicle innovation and styling has led to the creation of a unique national centre for transport design in Coventry in support of the UK automotive and design sectors.

Sustainability & resilience – Researchers at Coventry University are meeting head on at a national and international level, helping communities and habitats to shore up and regenerate themselves by engaging with citizens, with businesses and with technology.

Safety & security – Coventry University is tackling the challenge of protecting the security and freedoms of citizens and of those most in need in society through research which explores and combats threats posed by technologies that have become integral to our way of life.

The university’s business support teams are the gateway for businesses to access industry expertise, academics and research centres, quickly assessing the needs of a business or a particular project and unlock the most relevant knowledge and expertise.

Some of the services available to businesses include:

  • Knowledge Exchange Team – The Knowledge Exchange team at Coventry University can work with businesses in a variety of ways, from Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) to Industry Funded Studentships.

Small business & social enterprise – Coventry University offers a wide range of services and bespoke business solutions for SMEs including gaining access to grants and funding, support for companies that are looking to take steps into international markets, innovation management support, providing help developing ideas and take your innovation into new markets, delivering tailored workshops and much more


Coventry University operates a dedicated Careers Service, which runs a number of programmes and initiatives that can reduce the cost of recruiting and help businesses find the right employees.

The Employer Engagement Team works with local, national and global employer partners, offering tailored recruitment services to help them reach the University’s student talent pool. This includes a a range of employer events during the academic year, from large careers fairs designed to help raise employer profiles on campus, to tailored networking events designed to help employers reach their target audience.

With recruitment services bespoke and tailored to the needs of the business, Coventry is able to support all sizes of companies, whether a large enterprise, SME or start-up business.
