The Mailbox welcomes new premium bicycle brand

Birmingham’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination is expanding its high-end home and lifestyle offering with the arrival of Ribble next year.

Opening in early 2017, Ribble will join the Mailbox’s already impressive collection of luxury brands on Level 1.

Founded in 1897, with over 100 years of heritage, Ribble is one of the longest established bicycle manufacturers in the world. Designed and built in the UK, Ribble offers high quality and award-winning bicycles, clothing and accessories.

Ribble will sit alongside Kitchen Gallery, Castle Fine Art and Fine & Country on Level 1 of the Mailbox.

Melanie Taylor, head of retail relations at Milligan, joint owners of the Mailbox, comments:

“Level 1 of the Mailbox is fast becoming a destination for premium home and lifestyle retailers and Ribble will be a very welcome addition.

“2016 has been a fantastic year for the Mailbox and 2017 is set to be even more exciting with the launch of the Mailbox app and new store openings.”

This latest signing comes hot on the heels of Tom’s Kitchen, the restaurant and bar by acclaimed chef Tom Aikens, set to open in time for Christmas.

As well as the restaurant, Tom’s Kitchen will operate a deli within the Urban Room mall offering an affordable and express option for breakfast, lunch and afternoon treats.

The Mailbox has also this month welcomed Bottles, a brand new wine concept, and Caffè Nero, located on Level 3 of the Mailbox, next to the Advanced offices and opposite the BBC entrance.

As well as the brands on Level 1, these latest names will join Harvey Nichols’ 45,000 sq ft flagship store, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Underwear, BOSS, Armani Collezioni, Daniel Footwear, Paul Smith, L.K. Bennett and Gieves and Hawkes, in addition to Everyman Cinema, Malmaison, AC Hotels and the Mailbox’s popular canalside bars and restaurants.

The Mailbox is also set to launch its leading edge, smart technology solution and customer next year, bringing a range of new and exciting services to deliver a whole new level of engagement.

The new Mailbox app will allow customers to pre-book and pre-order food, access personalised promotions and experiences, book tickets for events and get the latest exclusive content.
